Radhika Wadegaonkar

Radhika trained in Bharatnatyam for three years and Odissi for two years from Sharda Sangeet Vidyalaya in Mumbai, India. She was always heavily involved with cultural dance events in school and in college, initiating and forming groups for college dance competitions. She is currently part of the Indian cultural organization at her workplace and has choreographed Bollywood and Folk dances for the same. She joined Mona Khan Company in January 2014. She went on to become an assistant instructor in January 2015 and a primary instructor by August.

By teaching, Radhika hopes to help all her students let go of their inhibitions and express themselves freely. Dance helps one develop stamina, stay fit, release stress and achieve happiness, all while having fun. The feeling of watching the students rock the stage, and visualizing their journey from the first week until their performance is an exhilarating experience. She feels very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to impart the knowledge that she continues to receive from her instructors. Dance also provides an outlet to her emotions and helps her get closer to her soul. It has also taught her some very important things in life like endurance, patience and most importantly, never giving up on your passion.

Outside the studio, Radhika works as a Software Engineer in VMware and can be found coding and learning some cool, new technologies. She enjoys traveling, hanging out with friends, hiking, watching movies and a lot of dance reality shows. She loves food and sampling new cuisines. Not that they are always a success, but she often tries experimenting with cooking new dishes at home!
