Where and when is the show?

America's Got Bollywood (Spring Showcase 2017) will be held at the Chabot College Performing Arts Center located at 25555 Hesperian Blvd., Hayward, CA 94545. There are 2 shows on Saturday, May 6th and 2 shows on Sunday, May 7th.

Who is performing in the show?

1100+ students from the Bay Area and Sacramento, as well as the company's highly acclaimed professional troupe which has an impressive repertoire, students from our specialty programs: Emerging Performers, senior citizens in the Jollywood program and the Jeena kids! You will also get to see our fabulous instructors on stage.

Can I photograph & record the event?

Photography is allowed, but please note that flash photography is distracting to the performers and is therefore not permitted. You may videotape only the student performances. Tripods/camera stands are not allowed in the seating area as they obstruct other people's view.

Photographing and videotaping the troupe performances, the Emerging Performer (EP) and instructor acts is prohibited and this rule will be strictly enforced. Prior to these performances, the audience will be reminded of this rule.

Can I buy food at the venue?

Yes. Food will be available for purchase. Please note that food/drinks are not allowed in the auditorium.

What is 'Brown Paper Tickets' and what is the ticket service fee?

Tickets can be purchased via the online ticketing service called ‘Brown Paper Tickets’ (BPT). A service fee of $.99 + 3.5% of the ticket price is charged per ticket by BPT. This is standard practice for any ticketing service and BPT is one of the most cost effective ticketing services available in the market.

How can I purchase my tickets?

Tickets will only be sold online until May 5th at 6:00pm. Tickets may be purchased (if available) at the venue on show days. Ticket prices will increase when purchased at the door.

What payment methods are available, and are online transactions secure?

BPT accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. BPT uses the industry-standard and secure 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption for all transactions, thus ensuring your credit card information and personal credentials are safe.

Where are my tickets?

Print-At-Home: During the order placement process online, you will see a button 'Click here to print your tickets' on the order confirmation page. Click this button to view a PDF file which will contain your tickets. You can then proceed to printing them. If you cannot print them right away, you can view your order at a later time to print your tickets (the order confirmation email contains a link to view your order).

Please bring your printed tickets to the venue! If you have tickets for multiple guests, please ensure that two people don't have the same ticket printed for the event. Each ticket is tagged with a unique barcode, and once scanned, is invalidated.

If you do not receive an order confirmation email from Brown Paper Tickets within 1 hour of your order, please contact BPT at 1-800-838-3006 as soon as possible.

Are refunds allowed?

Tickets are non-refundable. You are responsible for tickets received from Brown Paper Tickets.

Are show seats assigned?

Yes, all seating is assigned. You can select your seats during the ticket purchase process.

Above what age is a "child" charged for a ticket?

Children aged 2 and above require a ticket. Children under 2 are admitted for free and may sit on someone's lap at the theater but will not be allowed to occupy a seat if a ticket has not been purchased for them .

Is the ticket valid for more than one show?

No, a ticket is only valid for the show it was purchased for. Tickets are not transferable from one show to another.

Do students have to buy ticket to perform?

Students DO NOT have to buy a ticket to perform. They will be seated in the auditorium with the rest of their class! This ticket is non-transferable and must be used by the student only. (Students in the Bacha Party class will receive separate details from their instructors about tickets and seating).

Do students need a ticket to be allowed into the theater to watch the show?

Yes, every student will need a hand stamp to enter the auditorium and sit with their class. They will receive this hand stamp once they have checked in on the day of the show. (Students of the Bacha Party will receive separate details from their instructors about their tickets and seating).

Do the parents/family/friends of the participants have to buy tickets to watch the show?

Yes. Each person will require a ticket to watch the show.

Are parents allowed in the student holding area?

Parents/family/friends are not allowed because that space is reserved for student performers. We also want to keep the kids safe therefore anyone who has not signed in, cannot enter the backstage area.

When can students go to the auditorium to watch the show?

Students are required to report 1 hour before the start of the show. Logistics of being seated with the class, performing and being re-seated after the class performs will be handled by instructors and show volunteers. Detailed instructions will be provided before the show.

When can parents pick up their children?

Parents are not required to pick their children up after their child has performed and have the child sit with them, unless the parent has bought an extra ticket for their child. It is advised that parents let their kids sit with the rest of the class to watch the show after they have performed. At the end of the show, parents can check out their children.

If a parent/child has to exit the auditorium during the show, please know that re-entry into the auditorium will be permitted before the start of the following act, so the performers on stage and the audience are not disturbed.
